Soulivity Travels: CUBA! Pt. 1

Soulivity Travels: CUBA! Pt. 1

Part One of a whirlwind 48 hours to the land of music, cigars, and amazing people.

My wife and I had a whirlwind 48hrs in Havana. When you step off the plane in Cuba, you quickly understand the creature comforts of the states are behind you as soon as you try to get wifi in the airport.  Honestly, I don't think you should enjoy Cuba any other way, the people and the energy on the Caribbean's largest island are more than enough to make up for any technology you left behind. From our Airbnb host to the beautiful couple who showed us their island, I have nothing but kind words and fond memories. I can't wait to get back so much to see and experience, not to mention the $5 bottles of Havana Club (laugh).

A Cuban band entertains patrons eating at outdoor cafes near Plaza Vieja.

Boys hang out and play pick up football outside a hotel in Plaza Vieja.

A picture of the beautiful mansion that houses the Museo de Arte Colonial. Its located in the same square as the famous San Cristobal de La Habana Cathedral.

A statue of a Cuban man with fresh flowers scans the square for his lover.

One of the most photographed beards in Cuba. We ran into this very engaging man outside the famous La Bodeguita Del Medio in Havana.

Cars are part of the beautiful aesthetic that is Cuba. Old-School models in bright colors bring smiles to everyone's faces.

Driving around near the capital feels like you went back in time.
